Winter's Sentinel

The first piece in my second go at the Seasons series! This time around, I'm nixing the landscape to
focus on the living elements. I'm also hoping to make everything interact and coexist with one another this time.
Here are the other parts: 

I tried to pick things that are unique to winter. The quince (flowers) aren't native to North America, as far as I know,
but they came up when I looked up winter plants. Either way, they're really pretty!
The berries are called snowberries. The birds are called dark-eyed juncos. They're one of my favorite winter
migrants! Well... fall migrants, technically, I suppose, but I they stick around in the winter.

Did this with watercolors and some ink (mostly for the juncos).
If you're wondering, I used a CD for the outline.
